Ghost

Something I removed from the original plotline 3

I had two main plots on my mind in the earliest stages of the story development, one being the concept of how OWWS is known today, and other being something completely different!

The story happening years AFTER the mass bombing of Europe, not before it, in a completely post-apocalyptic looking place, with Nazis still marching the land, and with small resistance groups of humans and tanks forming to stand up against them.
Main characters of it were supposed to be Ulrich and five human characters along with him. I don’t remember where or in what position Vogel was in that concept, but he had to be somehwere, seeing as he was with Ulrich on the very first concept drawing of him. Iosef and Ivan would appear only in the ending and Georg would still be the main villain, like he was in the early concepts of the today’s OWWS.

Something I removed from the original plotline 2

Georg was originally supposed to be the main villain, because of his hate of tanks, night bombers, the reich and allies (aka. everyone) but I ended up making him another hero.

Better off this way!

Something I removed from the original plotline

For a while I intended to have a dog character in OWWS, who would get very attached to Ulrich and vise versa.

He would be a rottweiler/GSD mix and not fully adult, and would have a white eagle silhuette-like marking non his chest, which is why Ulrich would assume the dog is German and would call him ‘Kleiner Soldat’.
The dog would get ran over by a tank machine at some point of the story.

He would be based on my puppy Roni, who was a rottweiler-mix/GSD mix and was ran over by a jeep.

If Markus was human

he’d be the kind of guy who makes tons of subtle sex jokes.

The more I draw human!Markus, the more he looks like a cross of Hans Landa and Reinhard Heydrich.

What happens when you take Ulrich’s hat.

First he’d be like

Then he would be like

And then, knowing Ulrich, probably this would happen

What happens when you take Georg’s hat.

First he’s like

Then he’s a bit like

But in the end he’s just like

If Georg was a woman, this would be his her song.

People tend to get Ulrich’s radio wrong on pictures of him, so here’s a better look of it. It’s not very well visible on the main reference, so this picture was very much needed.
Also here’s an edit in which Ulrich is smiling. So you can again see what he looks like when he smiles.

Death points

There are three ‘death points’ in a machine man’s body.
The fuel tank - chest area (serves like stomach)
The engine - stomach area (serves like a heart)
The two chips - inside the head (serve like the brain)

If the fuel tank gets damaged, the fuel flow stops, and it’s kind of like blood loss. The machine that is keeping the chips active works on fuel as well, and when the fuel stops getting to that machine, the chips turn off.
This is the easiest one to get fixed, since all that needs to be done is to replace the fuel tank and the chest plate, because there’s probably a hole in it.

If the engine gets damaged, that causes the instant shutting down of the whole system. Which means, the chips are shut off as well.

If the chips get damaged, then it’s obviously instant death as well.

Once these chips are turned off they can’t be turned on again in any way.
Sometimes, if the body isn’t too damaged, they replace the chips and the before dead man is now a completely new man, with a different personality but the old body.
